What wallets support Sui?
We explore the best non-custodial wallets for securely holding your SUI.
If you’re looking for a non-custodial wallet and don’t want to risk holding your SUI on an exchange, this guide is for you.
In this article, we will explore the best non-custodial wallets for securely holding your SUI. We will cover native wallets, multi-chain wallets, hardware wallets, and telegram wallets.
Native wallets
A native wallet is a digital wallet that is built into and specifically designed for a particular cryptocurrency or blockchain, facilitating seamless transactions and interactions within its ecosystem.
Sui wallet
The Sui Wallet stands out as the most popular native wallet on the network, boasting 800,000 extension downloads and over 50,000 mobile users.
After installing the Sui Wallet extension, users can sign in using zkLogin, which currently supports Google or Twitch accounts, or create or import an existing wallet. They can also use Sui Wallet to connect to their Ledger hardware wallet.
The app offers the convenience of purchasing Sui directly through a fiat onramp. Users can stake their Sui, manage their NFTs, or engage with dApps within the Sui ecosystem.
Sui Wallet’s zkLogin components have undergone a thorough security audit by Critical Section Security, ensuring a robust and secure user experience.
Suiet
Suiet (pronounced “sweet”) ranks as the second most popular native wallet for Sui, currently available only as a browser extension with 200,000 downloads.
Known in the ecosystem as the “wallet you can trust,” Suiet sets itself apart with an unparalleled level of transparency. From day one, Suiet has been entirely open-sourced, allowing anyone to audit its code. Additionally, it has undergone a comprehensive security audit by Numen, further solidifying its commitment to security.
Privacy is a key focus for Suiet. Unlike other wallets like Metamask, which collect certain user information for various purposes, Suiet tracks nothing about its users.
Within the app, users can also enjoy features such as directly minting NFTs or securing their wallet with TouchID or FaceID.

Surf
Surf Wallet is one of the top mobile wallets in the Sui ecosystem, with over 50,000 downloads and a strong following within the community. In addition to its mobile app, Surf also offers a browser extension for users who prefer desktop access.
Getting started with Surf is easy—users can sign in with zkLogin or create a new wallet. To enhance security, Surf lets you set a 6-digit PIN for transactions or sending assets. For added protection, you can also use your biometrics.
One standout feature of Surf Wallet is its embedded browser, allowing users to easily return to the dApps they were using and keep track of their activities.
Multi-chain wallets
Multi-chain wallets cater to those wanting to interact with various blockchain networks. These digital wallets enable the storage, management, and transaction of cryptocurrencies across multiple blockchains via a single interface.
Phantom (coming soon)
Phantom is one of the most popular crypto wallets across any chain, with 32 million downloads. It was originally a Solana wallet, but now supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, Polygon, Base and soon Sui. Phantom has a strong focus on user experience and security. It also boasts a cross-chain swapper and bespoke NFT experiences.
Many believe Phantom's support of Sui will help turbo charge adoption, as arguably web3's favourite wallet supports the water chain.

Backpack (coming soon)
Backpack wallet was built by the team behind the Backpack exchange, and as such is the best wallet to use in conjunction with this exchange. Backpack has multi-chain support across Solana and Ethereum, with incoming support for Sui across the wallet and exchange. One of Backpack's coolest features is its ability to lock NFT collections, thwarting any malicious attempts to drain the wallet by stopping transactions on locked NFTs.
While not as big as Phantom, the integration of Backpack wallet along with its popular exchange will bring increased activity to the Sui NFT ecosystem.

Nightly
Nightly is one of the most popular multi-chain wallets for Sui, with its browser extension boasting over 100,000 downloads. It’s also available on iOS and Android, catering to a wide range of users across devices.
A unique feature that sets Nightly apart is its auto-confirm functionality. This feature automatically signs transactions, saving users time and streamlining their experience. Users can customize how long they’d like this feature to remain active. Currently, the auto-confirm feature is only available on trusted apps such as Aftermath and BlueMove.
Fewcha
Fewcha is another multi-chain wallet with a focus on web3 social interactions. It’s available as both a browser extension and a mobile app, offering users flexibility in how they manage their assets. Fewcha has undergone a security audit by Verichain Lab, ensuring a secure experience for its users.
A notable feature of Fewcha is its integration with Keystone, allowing users to connect and manage their assets with a hardware wallet, adding an extra layer of security.
Hardware wallets
A hardware wallet is a physical device designed to securely store cryptocurrency private keys offline, offering enhanced security against online threats. You can use a Keystone, Ledger or Safepal hardware wallet to store your SUI.
Keystone
A Keystone is a secure, air-gapped hardware wallet that stores cryptocurrency private keys, featuring only QR code-based transactions for enhanced security.
You can connect and use your Keystone through Fewcha wallet. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to connect and set up your Keystone 3 Pro with Fewcha.
Ledger
Ledger is a leading hardware wallet brand renowned for its security features, storing private keys offline to protect cryptocurrencies from online threats.
To use Ledger with Sui, you’ll need to connect it through the Sui Wallet extension. The video below provides a step-by-step guide on how to set this up.
Currently, Sui is not listed among Ledger’s supported coins and tokens. To use Ledger with Sui, you’ll need to rely on the Sui Wallet extension as a third-party solution. Development for Sui on Ledger Live is not yet supported, and there is currently no ETA for this integration.
Safepal
SafePal is a secure, air-gapped hardware wallet that stores cryptocurrency private keys offline, utilizing QR code-based transactions to ensure enhanced security.
SafePal stands out as the only hardware wallet that directly supports SUI, eliminating the need for third-party extensions.
Sui is supported across their mobile app, browser extension, and hardware wallets. You can safely manage your SUI with SafePal’s S1, S1 Pro, and X1 hardware wallets.
Telegram-based wallets
A Telegram wallet is an integrated digital wallet within the Telegram messaging app, enabling users to manage and transact cryptocurrencies directly through their chat interface. These wallets offer seamless integration with the app's features, providing a convenient and secure way to handle digital assets without leaving the messaging environment.
Wave
Wave Wallet is a Telegram-based wallet that has quickly gained popularity since its launch in April 2024, amassing around 3 million users. A key factor driving its rapid adoption is its Oceangame, which allows users to earn $OCEAN. Wave is also developing additional games like Lucky Wheel, Battle-game, and more to improve user experience.
Currently, Wave Wallet does not support zkLogin. Users must either create a new wallet and securely note down their seed phrase or load an existing wallet using their seed phrase.
Wave Wallet is only available on Telegram. They are actively working on expanding their offerings with mobile apps for iOS and Android, as well as a Chrome extension.
Pinatabot
Pinatabot is the first Telegram-based wallet to integrate zkLogin. Currently, users can only sign up through zkLogin, with no option to create a wallet separately.
Launched in April 2024, Pinatabot allows users to manage their Sui assets directly within Telegram. It offers an engaging experience with its off-chain Pinata clicker game, where users can repeatedly hit a pinata to earn donut points—a feature that will play a significant role in their ecosystem.
Pinatabot’s standout feature is Pinata Links, which allows users to create links containing any assets and send them to friends directly in a Telegram chat. Recipients can claim the assets without ever leaving the Telegram app—a pretty cool and convenient feature!
Pinatabot is currently in alpha mode and may contain some bugs. The team will conduct a complete audit after launching their stable version.
